The "Worm Project" - School Year 2012 - 2013

Welcome to the "Worm Project." We love worms. And luckily kids do too. Worms are an amazing way to teach the shorter generation about the foods they eat, the soil they walk on and the environment that surrounds them. That's why this year we are offering 9 micro-grants for worm workshops to local schools in underserved communities, completely funded out of Fertile Earth's own online worm shop!

The workshop includes a 20 minute powerpoint presentation followed by a 30 minute hands-on worm building exerice. Workshops can be for individual classrooms or selected students from multiple classrooms in the same school, maximum 35 students aged 3 and above.  Students get to keep their very own stash of worms that, if cared for right, becomes the gift that keeps on giving!

Just apply by October 1st, 2012 by filling out the Contact Us page and answering one simple question:  "Why should your school or classroom receive this grant?"

Schools that are not located in underserved areas are eligible for a 33% discount off our regular rate of $150 if booked before October 31st.

Happy Worming!
